Brendhan Dickerson
born 1968, lives and works in Betty’s Bay, South Africa
Brendhan Dickerson, passionate arts educator and sculptor, works in large-scale wrought iron and stainless steel, carved wood, bronze and as a performance artist. His work generally articulates wry social commentary or political satire. He takes great delight in kinetic and interactive sculpture, often making works which invite some kind of physical interaction from the viewer. He is also interested in sculpture as spectacle, and is engaged in an ongoing exploration of kinetic fire-sculpture as a form of performance art.
