Mark Hipper

Born 1960, Ghana. Died 2010

Mark Hipper completed his Masters degree at the Hochschule der Kunste [HdK] in Berlin during the mid-80’s. During his 12 years there, he had a number of solo and group exhibitions, and was part of the young avant-garde scene.

Mainly a painter, Mark also excelled in printmaking and three dimensional works in wood and clay. His other love included writing poetry and prose.

ErdmannContemporary continues to promote Mark Hipper’s work. A retrospective of his work Berliner Jahre was hosted at the Sara Asperger Gallery in Berlin.
