Roger Ballen

World recognized and award-winning photographer Roger Ballen is known for his social commentary as seen in his previous publications and exhibitions such as Dorps, Platteland and Outland. In his book, Shadow Chamber he explores the underbelly or the shadow chamber of existence. With this body of work he takes major leap into a metaphoric dimension with multiple conscious and subconscious meaning. He does this in a unique manner creating a way of seeing that makes an important and historic contribution to photography today.
His latest book Boarding House, and an exhibition with the same title, is traveling through-out the world.
